About the Congress
The Congress is a 5 round Swiss tournament in 3 Sections
The Open Section is FIDE rated
The Boniface Section is for players rated under 1900
The Foundation Section is for players rated under 1600
Rate of Play
All moves to be completed in 90 minutes plus a 30 second increment after each completed move
All moves must be recorded
Playing Schedule
Round 1: Friday 18:45
Admission to the Playing Area on the Friday evening will be from 18:30
Round 2: Saturday 09:30 Round 3: Saturday 14:30
Round 4: Sunday 09:30 Round 5: Sunday 14:30
Default Time
30 Minutes after the above scheduled start times
Byes
Except for Round 5, players may request one half point bye
Results and Pairings
Pairings will be effected using FIDE approved program
Results will be published on the appropriate chess websites
The current FIDE Laws of Chess will apply
